ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Many representatives of Tribal Nations in the Pacific Northwest have come together to plan this important conference Honoring Our Past and Protecting Our Future. Indian gaming has brought great growth and opportunities to build economic security and rebuild our communities. Just as we come together during the year with gaming industry leaders and experts to share knowledge and perspectives on current issues affecting Indian gaming, we hope to bring together our Tribal Council leaders, behavioral health directors and counselors, education experts, and families to support each other with knowledge on health issues, addictions, and financial and safety concerns that affect our communities.
The first Four Directions conference held last year was a great success - so much so that interest grew rapidly in offering an expanded conference program in 2010. The Tulalip Tribes are pleased to host this important event, and we are proud to welcome leaders such as Alan Basham, Gayl Edmunds, Joanna Franklin, Sunny Guillory, Gordon James, Marcy Nichols, and so many others who will share their wisdom.
